The brief was to build a pair of elegant wardrobes, spanning the full wall to conceal the existing chimney breast and create storage space without intruding into the modestly sized room.
Four doors were built from MDF, with a cherry wood veneer, fitting on to a carcass of high pressure laminate. The doors were constructed with a gliding mechanism so that one slides easily behind the other at each side.
To accompany the wardrobes two modern, compact, wall hung bed side tables were constructed and fitted at each side of the bed. These were made from solid cherry wood to match the wardrobe doors.
